Got to Love Those Venues

As a Professional Conference Organiser (PCO) we all see and experience many venues across the country either by ‘famil’ or by personal use.  I often call myself a ‘hotel junkie’.  Just cannot walk past one without checking out the lobby and the conference rooms.

Here are my pick for the 2018 year:

Best site inspection for unique venues (as hosted March 2018) – Barossa Valley South Australia including Seppeltsfield and Jacobs Creek

Best large conference space – Adelaide Convention Centre

Best small conference space – Noahs on the Beach, Newcastle NSW

Best hotel room (I have stayed in) – Crown Perth (Australia) and Intercontinental Wellington (New Zealand)

Best walkable city for conference delegates – Wellington, New Zealand

Best restaurant experience – Rustica at Newcastle Beach, NSW

Best conference dinner experience – National Wine Centre of Australia, Adelaide SA

Here are my picks for 2017:

Best Large Conference Space – Hotel Grand Chancellor, Hobart

Best Small Function Space – Melbourne Town Hall, Portico Room and Balcony

Best Tour Experience – Peppermint Bay Day Cruise, Hobart Tasmania

Best Site Inspection for Unique Venues – Hamilton Island

Best Accommodation (I stayed in) – Yacht Club Villas at Hamilton Island

Best Conference Dinner Destination – Movie World on the Gold Coast

Best Travel Option – Virgin Australia Business Class
